Follow the evidence.

A model name is a starting point. An exact version, a manual, and an honest account of the gaps make a useful comparison.

Identify the version and market

US and Canadian versions, older and newer revisions, bases, and travel-system bundles are not interchangeable. Each record names its market and manual revision. Retailer matching is a separate check; I do not infer it from a similar title.

Use primary sources

Manufacturer manuals support fit and installation facts. Manufacturer pages can support dimensions and convenience features. Official agencies and statutes support recall and legal research. Each displayed specification links to its source or is marked unverified.

Keep uncertainty visible

A conflicting weight is left unknown. A width does not prove vehicle compatibility. An incomplete recall check is not a clear result. The comparison does not calculate a safety winner, assign star ratings, or turn missing values into zero.

Separate research from shopping

Editorial records and licensed offers are separate. Offer eligibility requires a verified exact listing, a resolved recall check, and a fresh runtime snapshot. An upstream outage cannot extend a price’s display lifetime. Product images require appropriate usage rights.

Know the limits

These are research summaries, not reports of hands-on testing, clinical advice, or a CPST inspection. No qualified technical review has been completed. Dated recall searches and exact retailer checks are recorded separately; unresolved listings do not have purchase links.
