The Britax Galaxy360 Slim is a rotating convertible car seat with a one-piece seat and base. Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.
At 17 in at its widest, this seat is one of the narrower ones in its class and is a candidate for three across in many mid-size cars.

The manual's preferred method is the lap-shoulder belt. The base must sit flat and parallel on the vehicle seat, with no more than 3 inches hanging over the front edge. You attach the tether hook, open the ClickTight by lifting a release lever and pushing the seat forward, set the recline, then slide both parts of the belt through the belt path and buckle. You remove slack from the lap part, then the shoulder part, tighten the tether until no red shows, and close the ClickTight. The retractor does not need to be locked. Both gray release levers must be closed, and the seat should move no more than 1 inch at the belt path.
To turn the seat, you press and hold the rotation lock release button, pull the rotation handle and swivel it. When it locks, the rotation lock indicator is fully black with no red. The manual says the seat must be locked rear- or forward-facing whenever the vehicle is moving, even when empty, and that red on the tether indicator may stop it rotating. Recline is set before installing. For a rear-facing lap-shoulder belt install with a child who has head and neck control, the indicator ball may be in the clear or frosted section; every other install needs it in the clear section only. Britax recommends the most reclined position for a baby with no head control.
The seat comes with head, middle and lower infant inserts. The head insert must be used with the middle insert, and the two may be used from 5 to 11 lb rear-facing. The lower insert must be used from 5 to 22 lb rear-facing. No insert is used forward-facing, and the head restraint bib must be unfolded once the baby weighs 11 lb. Rear-facing, the straps sit just below the shoulders and the head must be at least 1 inch below the top of the head restraint. Forward-facing, the straps go in the closest position above the shoulders, with the tops of the ears below the top of the head restraint.
The head restraint cover comes off separately: raise the head restraint to its highest position, release the elastic straps and fasteners, and route the harness out. The manual says to remove the plastic insert from that cover before washing. The main cover comes off after the cup holders and inserts, by releasing fasteners at the carry handle and plastic tabs around the shell. For the cover, it points you to the care label and says not to bleach or iron. The shell and harness are sponge cleaned with warm water and mild soap, and the buckle is rinsed in warm water only. The cup holders are removable and dishwasher safe.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
