The LATCH connectors sit in the shell. The manual recommends them for children from 4 to 35 lb. You pull the red straps to free the connectors and lengthen the straps with the adjuster button. Then you set the handle in its forward-most position and check that the line on the carrier is horizontal, using rolled towels or pool noodles if needed. Each connector clicks onto an anchor bar in the seat crease. Press the carrier down while pulling the free end of the strap; if it moves more than 1 inch, tighten further. To remove it, raise the handle and pull the red straps.
