The Chicco Fit360 SE ClearTex is a rotating convertible car seat used rear-facing from 12 to 40 lb and up to 43 inches, then forward-facing from 26.5 to 65 lb and up to 49 inches from age one. It installs on a base with the LeverLock belt system or LATCH, always with the tether, and expires after 8 years.
The Fit360 SE suits a family past the newborn stage who wants a seat that turns toward the door for loading. Its rear-facing minimum is 12 lb and it has no newborn positioner. The trade-off is bulk: Chicco lists a 32.25 in rear-facing footprint, and its spec table gives both a 33.8 lb product weight and a 31.25 lb assembled weight. The Fit360 Zip, compared in the questions below, is the sibling that starts at a lower weight.

This seat covers 2 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Chicco gives it a 8-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.

| Rear-facing harness | 12 to 40 lb | Up to 43 in | Not published | — |
| Forward-facing harness | 26.5 to 65 lb | Up to 49 in | 12 months | Manual: never use forward-facing with an infant less than one year of age. |
A child must meet every limit for the mode they use. The labels on your seat and its manual are the final word.
Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.
At 18.25 in at its widest, measure your back seat before counting on three across. It weighs 33.8 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.
Lupine, Stellar.
The seat comes off the base first: squeeze a release handle, turn the seat to the mid-way stop, press the seat removal tool (on the end of the harness adjuster strap) into the lock release, then lift. Set the recline with the handle until the bubble is between the lines. The manual recommends the lap-shoulder belt: open the LeverLock door, route the belt between the frame and door, guide the shoulder belt into the path opposite the buckle, and click the door shut. The tether is used for both methods, and no more than 3 inches of base may overhang the vehicle seat.
Hold the seat at a 90 degree angle to the base and press it down until it clicks. Rotate it to rear-facing or forward-facing and check that the Ready to Ride indicator is green, not red. The manual says to leave it in a green riding position even when no child is in it, to rotate with the vehicle door open, and never to remove or carry the seat with a child in it. It is not intended for use outside the vehicle. If the vehicle headrest pushes the seat forward, the manual sends you to the vehicle manual.
Harness height changes with the headrest: loosen the harness, squeeze the handle on top of the headrest, and let it lock. Rear-facing, the straps go at or below the shoulders; forward-facing, at or above. If the crotch strap sits under the child, it moves from position 1 to position 2 through a compartment under the seat pad. The flex-forward crotch pad snaps on. The cup holders take plastic cups under 12 oz only, never hot drinks, and go in the dishwasher on the top rack.
Take off the shoulder pads, crotch pad and cup holders, and undo the buckle and chest clip. Raise the headrest fully, undo the snaps behind and below it, and slide its fabric off. Lower the headrest, pull the seat padding up by the fabric loop at the back, and work it around the harness release button and the frame. The soft goods are hand washed or machine washed cold on delicate and hung to dry. The harness is sponge-cleaned only, and the seat must never be used without its pad or crotch strap.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
Rear-facing is for 12 to 40 lb and no taller than 43 inches. Forward-facing is for children at least one year old, 26.5 to 65 lb, and 49 inches or less, with the harness at or above the shoulders.
