The Cloud T suits a parent who wants a flat stroller recline and a published US manual covering six installation methods. The trade-offs are its 12 lb weight and an L.S.P. device you deploy toward the door on each install. The Cloud G Pro lists the same limits and dimensions; the Cloud T adds premium fabrics, some of them wipe-clean only.

How the Cloud T with Load Leg Base installs

Recline: Lie-flat recline outside vehicle. The recline angle is what keeps a young baby’s airway open, so set it before tightening the install.

What to know before you live with it

Installing the base

The manual lists rigid LATCH as the recommended base install, with a lap/shoulder belt or a lap belt only as alternatives. The recline foot has four positions and must keep the indicator in the blue zone for 4 to 30 lb. CYBEX allows a center seat install with the inner lower anchors of the outboard seats only if they are exactly 11 in (28 cm) apart, no buckle stalk is in the way, and the connectors do not block the vehicle belt buckles. The load leg is strongly recommended and goes in the first hole that locks it against the floor without lifting the base.

The side-impact device

The L.S.P. device is built into the carrier and pulls out from its side. The manual says to always use it when the seat sits next to a door or panel, with or without the base, unfolding it as far as possible toward that side. It must never point toward the vehicle interior, a passenger or another child seat, and is not used in the rear middle seat. It is never a handle for lifting the carrier. To store it, press the button and push it back until it clicks. On aircraft, the manual says never to use it.

Full recline and aircraft use

The full recline backrest is only for use outside the vehicle, and the seat must never be installed in a car in full recline mode. With one hand on the carry handle, squeeze the recline release handle and push the back down until it locks. To return to car seat mode, squeeze the release handle and lift the back until it locks upright. CYBEX says this mode works with all CYBEX strollers. On a plane the base is not used: the carrier goes rear-facing with the handle locked, the backrest not reclined, the aircraft seat upright, and the blue level line level with the aircraft floor. The base can be gate checked.

Fabrics and what is in the box

CYBEX says the fabric covers can be machine washed separately in cold water on a delicate cycle, without bleach, and drip dried. Fashion Collections and Design Collaborations fabrics are wipe-clean only, which matters if you pick one of those patterns. The box contains the Cloud T with SensorSafe, the Cloud T base, an infant insert and an owner's manual. CYBEX recommends the insert until about 11 lbs or about 3 months. The XXL canopy is UPF50+, but the mesh window in it is not.

Is the Cloud T with Load Leg Base recalled?

23C001000: does not cover this model. Recall 23C-001 covers the Aton, Aton Q, Aton M, Aton 2 and Cloud Q with listed model numbers beginning 514, 515, 517, 518, 519 or 521, made March 13, 2017 to November 1, 2020. The Cloud T (model number 526000607), a different product that only shares the Cloud name, is not among the listed model numbers. Campaign source (read October 7, 2026).

What are the Cloud T weight and height limits?

The manual requires a weight between 4 and 30 lbs, a height less than 32 inches, and the top of the head at least 1 inch below the top of the seat or headrest, whichever is higher. Once a child exceeds any of these, the seat is outgrown.

How heavy and wide is the Cloud T?

CYBEX lists it at 12 lbs, 17.6 in wide, 26.5 to 30 in long and 15.8 to 23 in tall. The page does not say whether the weight includes the base.

Does the US Cloud T have a swivel base?

No. CYBEX says the US Cloud T is a Platinum infant seat, and that the European Cloud T, which shares the name, is part of a modular system that can share a swivel base with a convertible seat.

When does the Cloud T expire?

The manual says never to use it when it is older than six (6) years. The date of manufacture is on a label on the bottom of the infant car seat and on the base.

How is the Cloud T different from the Cloud G Pro?

CYBEX lists the Cloud G Pro at 4 to 30 lbs, up to 32 in, 12 lbs and 17.6 in wide, and sells a second base labeled Cloud G Pro / Cloud T. Its page describes one-click rigid LATCH and a near-flat recline outside the car.

Can I install the Cloud T in the middle seat?

With rigid LATCH, only if the inner lower anchors of the outboard seats are exactly 11 in (28 cm) apart, no buckle stalk is in the way and the connectors do not block the vehicle belt buckles. In the rear middle seat, the L.S.P. device is never extended.
