An infant car seat with one mode: rear-facing infant 4 to 30 lb, up to 30 in.
Diono lists this seat on its US site. Buy from Diono or an authorized retailer, and confirm the exact model number before you buy.
The LiteClik30 RXT SafePlus is a rear-facing-only infant car seat for babies from 4 to 30 lb and 30 inches or less, with a no-rethread harness set by moving the headrest. Its base installs with LATCH or a seat belt plus a required top tether, the carrier can be belted in alone, and it expires 8 years after purchase.
The RXT suits a parent who wants to change harness height without unthreading straps, and whose vehicle has a top tether anchor where the base will go. The trade-off it shares with the XT is that the base cannot be used without the tether. The XT has the same base, limits and comfort insert, but its harness is moved by rethreading the straps through new slots.

This seat covers one stage. Diono gives it a 8-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.

A child must meet every limit for the mode they use. The labels on your seat and its manual are the final word.

Diono does not publish a width for this seat, so measure your back seat and compare it with the seat in a store before buying.
The RXT manual describes a no-rethread harness. To raise the straps, pull the tab on top of the headrest and pull up; to lower them, pull the tab and push down. The harness must sit snugly at or below the shoulders, and the top of the head must stay at least 1 in below the top of the shell. The SitRite Comfort Insert pairs a gray newborn support insert with a black travel high wedge; the manual says to remove the gray insert first, then the wedge, as the baby grows. The manual also says to make sure the head is not slouching forward, because that could block the airway.
The tether is required with the base, so a seating position without a tether anchor means choosing another one. With the vehicle on level ground, set the base so the bubble indicators sit within the check marks, using the 2-position leveling foot if needed, with no more than 20% overhanging the cushion. Attach the tether loosely, then install with LATCH (one connector per anchor) or a vehicle belt routed through and locked in the EasyPath lock-off. The base should move less than 1 in at the belt path. Tighten the tether last, only to remove slack.
The carrier installs with the lap portion of the vehicle belt threaded through both side guides, with a lap/shoulder belt's retractor locked first. The level line on the side label must be level with the ground, the carrier bottom cannot overhang the seat, and the handle must be in position 3, the anti-rebound position. This is the only certified aircraft setup, because the aircraft belt buckle interferes with the base. The manual rules out a non-locking retractor without a belt locking clip, and the carrier should move less than 1 in at the belt path.
Remove the harness and buckle pad, take the headrest cover off, then pull the seat cover out of the shell's grooves and over the belt guides, stroller release buttons and harness adjustment button. The seat cover, comfort insert, buckle pad and harness pads can be machine washed separately in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, or hand washed, and dried flat away from direct sunlight. Bleach, ironing and dry cleaning are ruled out. The harness and buckle straps get a damp cloth only and must never be soaked.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
The manual gives 4 to 30 lb and a height of 30 in or less. The top of the head must be at least 1 in below the top of the shell.

Diono says the average child reaches 30 in shortly after turning one and 30 lb shortly after two and a half, so most outgrow an infant seat by height first.

Diono says it may be compatible with other brands' strollers or wagons with a Maxi-Cosi adapter. Check the stroller's own manual for the adapter it needs.

The manual says it is certified for aircraft only when installed without the base, using the lap belt. Diono suggests checking the airline's policy first.

Diono gives it a life span of 8 years from the time of purchase. If the purchase date cannot be determined, it uses the date of manufacture.
Diono rates the XT for the same 4 to 30 lb and up to 30 in, and its base also requires the top tether. Its harness height is changed by unhooking the straps from the metal plate and rethreading them.
