The Graco SnugRide SnugFit DLX is a rear-facing-only infant seat that Graco lists for 4 to 30 lb and up to 32 in, with the head at least 1 in below the top. Its base has a SnugLock lock-off, an anti-rebound bar and 5 recline positions, the carrier can be belted in alone, and it expires after 7 years.
The SnugFit DLX suits parents who want a base that clamps the LATCH strap or seat belt under a SnugLock lock-off and braces against the vehicle seat with an anti-rebound bar, plus the seat pad Graco calls Rapid Remove. The trade-off is weight: Graco lists the carrier at 9.8 lb. The SnugFit LX has the same base features with a 9.0 lb carrier but no Rapid Remove pad on its page, and the plain SnugFit drops SnugLock for a 4-position base and an 8.4 lb carrier.

This seat covers one stage. Graco gives it a 7-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.

A child must meet every limit for the mode they use. The labels on your seat and its manual are the final word.
Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.

At 17.5 in at its widest, this seat is one of the narrower ones in its class and is a candidate for three across in many mid-size cars. It weighs 9.8 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.
Spencer, Maison.
The base installs with the LATCH strap or the vehicle seat belt, never both at once. You push it back until the anti-rebound bar touches the vehicle seat back, open the SnugLock lock-off, and route the strap, or the lap part of the belt, through the rear-facing belt path with the blue label, above the notches near the lock-off. Press down on the base while removing the slack, then close the lock-off until it clicks. With the lock-off closed on a seat belt, the manual says you do not need to switch the retractor. A center seat may take LATCH only if the vehicle manual allows it and the anchors are 11 in or more apart. At least 80% of the base must sit on the vehicle seat, and it should move less than 1 in at the belt path. The manual gives no separate child-weight limit for the lower anchors.
The base has 5 recline positions. You squeeze the recline lever and lift the base to extend the foot. With the vehicle on level ground, the bubble must sit entirely under the light blue line for infants 0+ months, or entirely under the dark blue line for 3+ months; anywhere else means the seat is not level. If the foot is fully extended and the reading is still wrong, the manual allows a rolled towel under the foot. Without the base, the red level line on the side of the carrier must be level with the ground, with rolled towels at the seat crease if needed.
Harness straps go at or just below the shoulders, and the top of the head must be at least 1 in below the top of the seat. To change harness height, you take the baby out, loosen the straps, squeeze the headrest adjustment button and move the headrest up or down. For smaller babies, the headrest can be shortened by tucking the bottom of its flap under the support. For low birth weight infants, the manual describes moving the crotch strap clip into the front slot in the shell without passing it through the pad. The body support is only for infants 12 lb or less. The handle has 4 positions and must be upright in position A when carrying.
To remove the pad, you unsnap the canopy from the pad, press the release button on each canopy arm, pull the headrest pad away, unfasten the 4 snaps and pull out the 4 plastic flaps at the sides. The pad and canopy are machine washed in cold water with gentle soap on a delicate cycle and drip dried, with no bleach. The buckle comes out and is swished in a cup of warm water while pressing the red button, without soap and without submerging its strap. The harness and LATCH strap are surface washed only, because soaking may weaken them. Select models include an all-weather boot, washed like the pad.
Each campaign naming this family was read against this model’s numbers and build dates, and none covers it. Still check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use, especially on a used seat.
Graco's product page lists rear-facing use only, from 4 to 30 lb and up to 32 in, with the head at least 1 in below the top of the seat. If the labels on your seat show a different limit, follow the labels.

The carrier can. The manual certifies it for aircraft only without the base, on forward-facing aircraft seats, following the vehicle lap belt installation. The base is not certified for aircraft, and each airline sets its own policies.

Graco lists the carrier at 9.8 lb without the base and 17.24 lb with it, and the seat at 17.5 in wide, 25.5 in high and 27.5 in deep. These are Graco's figures, not my measurements.

Graco lists the SnugFit LX with the same 4 to 30 lb and 32 in limits, SnugLock, InRight LATCH, an anti-rebound bar and a 5-position base, and a 9.0 lb carrier. The LX page does not mention the Rapid Remove seat pad that the DLX page lists.
The manual says to use the carrier only with strollers that carry the Graco Click Connect logo, never with another manufacturer's stroller, and never on a shopping cart.

The manual says to stop using the seat and throw it away 7 years after the date of manufacture, which is on a label on the back of the seat. It must also be replaced after any crash.
