The Chicco KidFit Zip Air Plus is a belt-positioning booster for children at least 4 years old and 44 to 57 in tall. It is a high-back booster from 40 to 100 lb and a backless booster from 40 to 110 lb. It adds 3D AirMesh and a zip-on leg rest, uses optional LATCH, and expiry is a dated label.
The Zip Air Plus suits a family that wants the KidFit Zip design with mesh fabric and a cushioned leg rest. The trade-off is size: Chicco lists it at 11 lb and 20 in deep, while the KidFit Zip Plus is listed at 10 lb and 17 in deep. Child limits, the 10-position headrest and LATCH are the same, and both follow the same manual.

This seat covers 2 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Check the date label on the shell before using a hand-me-down; every seat has an expiry.

Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.
At 17 in at its widest, this seat is one of the narrower ones in its class and is a candidate for three across in many mid-size cars. It weighs 11 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.

This seat follows the KidFit Zip manual. The vehicle lap and shoulder belt restrains the child; LATCH only holds the booster and is optional. The connectors fit lower anchors at the standard 11 inch spacing, and the manual says ISOFIX anchors may also be used. The top tether is not used. Only forward-facing vehicle seats with a 3-point belt are allowed, never lap-only belts, motorized shoulder belts or belts attached to the door. Do not place it in front of a frontal air bag unless the air bag can be turned off.
The backrest has 10 height positions, adjusted with a lever at the back of the headrest. Set it so the orange shoulder belt guide is at or just above the shoulders and the ears are below the headrest. When the ears are above the headrest, the manual moves the child to backless mode. To remove the backrest, turn the seat over, press the release under the seat bar and rotate the backrest off. In backless mode, the ears must be below the vehicle seat back or head restraint, and the shoulder positioning clip is used until the belt lies flat on its own.
Chicco describes 3D AirMesh channels in the backrest and seat, an ErgoBoost Plus seat with three layers of foam, and a zip-on cushioned leg rest. The extra padding zips off for cleaning while the standard fabrics stay on. All fabrics, including armrest covers, are listed as removable and machine washable: cold water, delicate cycle, mild detergent, no bleach, hang dry. The page lists the assembled size as 20 in x 17 in x 26 in and the weight as 11 lb. A kid console fits into either of the two cup holders.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
Chicco lists the KidFit Zip Plus at 17 in x 17 in x 26 in and 10 lb, with the same 40 to 100 lb high-back and 40 to 110 lb backless limits. Its feature list has zip-off cushions but no 3D AirMesh and no leg rest, the two additions on the Zip Air Plus.
Chicco lists 20 in deep, 17 in wide and 26 in tall, at 11 lb. It also lists an interior seat depth of 15 in and a maximum seated height of 29 in.

Not for use on the plane. The manual says it is not certified for aircraft use because aircraft do not have lap-shoulder belts.
The manual allows plastic containers only, under 12 oz (355 ml), and no hot liquids or sharp objects. The cup holders can be removed or folded in to make room for a passenger.
