The Britax Highpoint is a belt-positioning booster that converts from high-back to backless. With the backrest it fits children 40 to 120 lb and 44 to 63 in; backless, 48 to 120 lb and 46 to 63 in. It uses the vehicle lap and shoulder belt, adds optional lower connectors and a SecureGuard clip, and expires after 10 years.
It suits a child who has outgrown a harness and needs a high-back booster that later becomes a backless one, in a seat with a lap and shoulder belt. The trade-off is that only the vehicle belt restrains the child; the lower connectors just hold the booster in place. Compared with the Skyline, it adds the SecureGuard lap belt clip, and Britax lists it at 12 lb against 11 lb for the Skyline, with the same 16" x 21" x 27.5" dimensions.

A child must meet every limit for the mode they use. The labels on your seat and its manual are the final word.
Britax does not publish a width for this seat, so measure your back seat and compare it with the seat in a store before buying. It weighs 12 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.

The lower connectors are optional. They attach the booster to the vehicle's lower anchors so it stays put when empty, but they do not restrain the child. To use them, release the adjuster strap fully, then push each connector onto its lower anchor until it clicks. The backrest should lie flat against an upright vehicle seat back, which may mean adjusting or removing the vehicle head restraint. The base must not hang over the edge of the vehicle seat. If the lower anchors keep the belt from fitting the child properly, the manual says not to use them.
To set the headrest, squeeze the adjuster, slide it, then pull up to check it has locked. The shoulder belt should cross the middle of the chest at or just above the shoulder, and the top of the headrest should be above the ears. Do not recline the backrest past the first click. The lap belt runs under both armrests, over the base belt guides and through the SecureGuard clip. The clip's bottom edge should be level with the upper thighs without pressing into them, and the lap belt must not rest on the abdomen.
Backless use starts at 48 lb and 46 in. The manual allows it only in a seating position with a vehicle head restraint, and the top of the child's ears must be below the top of that head restraint. The lap belt still goes under both armrests and through the SecureGuard clip, and the shoulder belt goes under the armrest on the buckle side. To take the backrest off, push it down until it lies flat and clicks, then keep pushing until it separates from the base.
The base, backrest and headrest covers come off by unhooking elastic loops. Take the plastic insert out of the headrest cover before washing and put it back before use. Follow the care label, and do not bleach or iron. Sponge clean the shell with warm water and mild soap, with no solvents or abrasive cleaners. The cup holders are dishwasher safe, top shelf only. Stop using the booster after 10 years or a moderate or severe crash; the date label is under the base cover.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
