Who is the Grow With You Harness-2-Booster Car Seat for?
The Britax Grow With You is a forward-facing combination seat without ClickTight. Its harness fits children at least 2 years old, 30 to 65 lb and 35 to 49 in, and its high-back booster fits 40 to 120 lb and 44 to 63 in. It installs with LATCH or a locked vehicle belt and expires after 9 years.
Reasons to consider it
Harness to 65 lb and 49 in, then high-back booster to 120 lb and 63 in
Lower anchor installation allowed for children up to 45 lb in harness mode
A 9-position harness and head restraint that move together without rethreading
Certified for aircraft use in harness mode
Things to weigh up
Belt installations need the vehicle belt locked as the vehicle owner's manual directs
From 40 lb the seat must be upright in harness mode
Not certified for aircraft in booster mode
Britax lists it at 23 lb and 21" x 19" x 25"
My take on the Grow With You Harness-2-Booster Car Seat
It suits a family that wants the Grow With You harness and booster ranges and is comfortable locking a vehicle belt or using LATCH. The trade-off against the Grow With You ClickTight is installation: there is no belt clamp, so a belt install depends on locking the belt the way the vehicle manual describes. Britax lists this seat at 23 lb against 25 lb for the ClickTight version, and this manual allows lower anchors up to 45 lb rather than 40 lb.

Who the Grow With You Harness-2-Booster Car Seat fits
This seat covers 2 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Britax gives it a 9-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.
Forward-facing harness30 to 65 lb · 35 to 49 in · from 2 years
The child faces forward in the seat’s own harness. Use the top tether every time, and stay in the harness until the child outgrows it.
Belt-positioning booster40 to 120 lb · 44 to 63 in
The seat raises the child so the vehicle’s own lap and shoulder belt sits on the hips and across the shoulder. The child has to sit properly for the whole ride.

How the Grow With You Harness-2-Booster Car Seat installs
Lower anchors
Quick-push LATCH connectors. Check your vehicle manual for which seating positions have anchors, and switch to the seat belt once the child passes the anchor weight limit in the manual.
Recline
2 recline positions. The recline angle is what keeps a young baby’s airway open, so set it before tightening the install.
Harness
9-position no-rethread harness and headrest. Check the harness height at each growth spurt: at or below the shoulders rear-facing, at or above them forward-facing.
Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.
Will it fit your car?
Britax does not publish a width for this seat, so measure your back seat and compare it with the seat in a store before buying. It weighs 23 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.
Check your vehicle manual for lower anchor positions and any head-restraint rules.
Rear-facing seats need front-seat room: try the install behind the driver before you commit.
Certified for aircraft use, so it can travel as a seat rather than checked baggage.

What to know before you live with it
Installing with the vehicle belt or LATCH
This model has no ClickTight. For a lap-shoulder belt installation you pull the seat cover forward, route the belt along the green belt path, buckle, then push the seat into the vehicle seat while removing slack from the lap and shoulder parts. The manual says to make sure the belt is locked as your vehicle owner's manual directs. A lap belt installation uses the same path and also needs a locked belt. Lower anchor attachments are for children up to 45 lb. The seat is installed when it moves no more than 1 in. at the belt path, and Britax recommends the tether every time.
One adjuster raises the harness and head restraint together. The straps go in the closest position at or above the shoulders, and the top of the ears must be below the top of the head restraint. The seat may be upright or reclined for children 30 to 40 lb, and must be upright from 40 to 65 lb. Up to 3 in. of the base may overhang the front edge of the vehicle seat in harness mode; in booster mode the base must sit fully on the vehicle seat. If the vehicle head restraint blocks the seat's head restraint, do not force it.
In booster mode the vehicle lap and shoulder belt holds the child, the seat stays upright, and the harness can be stored rather than removed. Lower anchors can hold the seat in place in booster mode if they do not interfere with belt fit, and the seat must stay secured even when it is empty. For cleaning, follow the cover's care label and do not bleach or iron. Sponge clean the shell and harness with warm water and mild soap, and do not machine wash the harness. Rinse the buckle in warm water without soap. Stop using the seat after 9 years or a moderate or severe crash.
Is the Grow With You Harness-2-Booster Car Seat recalled?
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.
What is the LATCH weight limit on the Grow With You?
The manual says not to install with the lower anchor attachments for a child over 45 lb. Above that, install with the vehicle belt, locked as your vehicle owner's manual directs.
It is certified for aircraft in harness mode, installed with the aircraft lap belt and without the tether. It is not certified in booster mode, because aircraft have no shoulder belts.
