At 17 in at its widest, this seat is one of the narrower ones in its class and is a candidate for three across in many mid-size cars. It weighs 10 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.

The child is always held by the vehicle lap and shoulder belt. LATCH only holds the booster and is optional. To use it, pull the LATCH release handle, pull out both connectors, clip them to lower anchors at the standard 11 inch spacing, then pull the adjustment strap while pushing the seat back. If you do not use LATCH, the manual says to pull the strap snug so the connectors stay clear of the belt. The top tether anchor is not used. To remove the seat, pull the release handle while pulling the booster away from the vehicle seat.
In high-back mode, the backrest locks in 10 height positions. The shoulder belt goes through the orange guide, which should sit at or just above the shoulders, and the child's ears must be below the headrest. The lap belt passes under the first armrest, and both belt parts pass under the armrest nearest the buckle. In backless mode, the shoulder positioning clip, stored under the seat, stays in use until the belt lies flat across the center of the shoulder on its own. The manual forbids pillows or blankets between the booster and the vehicle seat, and lap-only belts.
Chicco describes quilted seat and backrest cushions that zip on for extra padding and zip off for cleaning or storage, plus an ErgoBoost Plus seat with triple-foam padding. All fabrics, including armrest covers, are listed as removable and machine washable. The care note says to close any hook and loop fasteners, wash fabrics separately in cold water on a delicate cycle with mild detergent, avoid bleach and hang dry. Both seats use the same KidFit Zip manual and the same child limits. The Zip Air Plus product page lists 3D AirMesh channels in the backrest and seat and a zip-on cushioned leg rest. It gives an assembled size of 20 in x 17 in x 26 in and a weight of 11 lb, against 17 in x 17 in x 26 in and 10 lb on the Zip Plus page. If front-to-back space on the vehicle seat is tight, I would measure against the Zip Air Plus depth before choosing it.
No campaign in the current NHTSA child-restraint data names this model family, and I have not run a separate review for it. Check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use.

The manual allows hand washing with mild soap or a cold delicate machine cycle with mild detergent, then hanging to dry, and says to hand rinse the foam insert. For the removal steps it refers you to the Chicco website or 1-877-424-4226. Do not use bleach, and do not put soaps or lubricants on the LATCH straps.

Chicco lists 17 in wide, 17 in deep and 26 in tall, at 10 lb. Interior widths are 12.5 in at the shoulders and 11.5 in at the hips.
The manual does not give a number of years. It says not to use the booster after the Do Not Use After date on the label underneath the seat.
