Who the TurboBooster Stretch2Fit Booster Seat fits

This seat covers 2 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Graco gives it a 10-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.

High-back booster40 to 100 lb · 43 to 57 in · from 4 years
The seat’s own back and belt guide route the vehicle belt across the shoulder, and the sides give the child something to lean on when they sleep.
Backless booster40 to 110 lb · 43 to 57 in · from 4 years
Only the base is left, so the vehicle seat has to support the child’s back and head, and the belt guide sits at the hip.

How the TurboBooster Stretch2Fit Booster Seat installs

Lower anchors
LATCH equipped. Check your vehicle manual for which seating positions have anchors, and switch to the seat belt once the child passes the anchor weight limit in the manual.

Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.

Will it fit your car?

At 19.69 in at its widest, measure your back seat before counting on three across. It weighs 11.73 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.

  • Check your vehicle manual for lower anchor positions and any head-restraint rules.
  • Rear-facing seats need front-seat room: try the install behind the driver before you commit.
  • Not certified for aircraft use: plan on gate-checking it or using a different seat to fly.

What features does the TurboBooster Stretch2Fit Booster Seat have?

  • Converts high-back to backless
  • LATCH equipped
  • 9-position back and headrest

Where Graco’s page and manual disagree

  • Product page: Backless Booster only: 40-110 lb, 43-57 in; Manual: With back 40-100 lb, 43-57 in; without back 40-110 lb, 43-57 in

When they differ, follow the manual and the labels on your seat.

Is the TurboBooster Stretch2Fit Booster Seat recalled?

NHTSA currently lists one campaign naming this Graco family: 16C004000. A campaign names a family, not always every build, so check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture against the campaign itself.

I have not reviewed these campaigns for this model yet, so shopping links stay paused here.

Before you buy

  1. Weigh and measure your child. The limits above are the manufacturer’s, and a child has to meet all of them for the mode they will use.
  2. Confirm the exact version. Colors, retail exclusives and model numbers change limits more often than you would expect; Graco lists 4 colors of this seat.
  3. Read the manual before you buy, not after. It is linked above and holds the fit rules, the install methods and the expiry.
  4. Check recalls by model number and date of manufacture, and register the seat with Graco so you hear about the next one.
