Who is the Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim All-In-One Convertible Car Seat for?
The Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim (CC406) is a 3-mode all-in-one seat. The manual lists rear-facing 5 to 40 lb and 19 to 40 in., forward-facing harness 30 to 65 lb and 34.4 to 49 in., and high-back booster 40 to 100 lb and 43.4 to 52 in. It must not be used more than 10 years after manufacture.
Reasons to consider it
One seat across rear-facing, forward-facing and high-back booster modes, from 5 lb to 100 lb
Forward-facing, the lower anchors can be used up to a 55 lb child, then the vehicle belt with the tether up to 65 lb
Certified for aircraft use with the internal harness
Seat pad machine washes cold and tumble dries on low for 10 to 12 minutes; the cup holders are top-rack dishwasher safe
Things to weigh up
No backless booster mode, and the booster tops out at 52 in.
Not certified for aircraft use as a booster, because aircraft seats have no shoulder belts
Safety 1st does not publish the seat's width or weight; the 3-across fit on the page is the brand's own claim
Rear-facing, the manual says the seat must touch the vehicle seat in front of it or be as close as possible
My take on the Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim All-In-One Convertible Car Seat
It suits a family that wants one seat from a 5 lb newborn to a high-back booster and does not need a backless mode. The main trade-off is a simple 2-position recline: reclined with the booster kickstand stored for both harness modes, and upright with the kickstand out for booster use. The closest sibling, the EverSlim 4-in-1, lists the same harness limits on its page but adds a backless booster mode, a 5-position recline base and a 10-position headrest.

Who the Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim All-In-One Convertible Car Seat fits
This seat covers 3 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Safety 1st gives it a 10-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.
Rear-facing harness5 to 40 lb · 19 to 40 in
The child faces the back of the car, which keeps the head, neck and spine supported in a frontal crash. Keep this mode as long as the child fits it.
Forward-facing harness30 to 65 lb · 34.4 to 49 in
The child faces forward in the seat’s own harness. Use the top tether every time, and stay in the harness until the child outgrows it.
Belt-positioning booster (high-back)40 to 100 lb · 43.4 to 52 in
The seat’s own back and belt guide route the vehicle belt across the shoulder, and the sides give the child something to lean on when they sleep.

What to know before you live with it
Rear-facing install and level lines
The manual gives two rear-facing methods and says to use only one: the vehicle belt (lap/shoulder or lap only) or the LATCH lower anchor belt, never both. The tether stays stored rear-facing. For a child 5 to 30 lb and 19 to 34.3 in., the bottom level line must be parallel with the ground. For 30 to 40 lb and 34.4 to 40 in., and only if the child can sit up unassisted, the top level line applies. The seat should not move more than 1 in. at the belt path. The child's head must be at least 1 in. below the top of the headrest, and the buckle goes in the 1st or 2nd slot.
Forward-facing: the tether and the 55 lb anchor limit
Forward-facing with the harness covers 30 to 65 lb and 34.4 to 49 in., and the top of the child's ears must stay below the top of the headrest. The manual says not to use the lower anchors for a child over 55 lb (24.9 kg); above that, install with the vehicle belt. When the vehicle has a tether anchor, the tether must always be attached and tightened in forward-facing harness mode. The forward-facing level line must be parallel with the ground, and the vehicle seat back must be upright. If a vehicle headrest gets in the way, the manual points to the vehicle owner's manual to see whether it can be removed or adjusted.
For booster use, the harness system is stored and the accessories are removed, except the cup holders. LATCH is not used in booster mode, and the manual allows only the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt. A round tab on the side releases the booster kickstand, which puts the seat upright; the seat back must sit flush against the vehicle seat. The shoulder belt threads through the belt-positioning guide in the headrest and should cross the center of the shoulder. The child's ears must never be above the top of the headrest, and the manual says not to use the booster if the child's head is less than 5 in. below the roof. Keep it belted in even when empty.
The headrest and harness move together: fully loosen the straps, squeeze the adjustment handle, move the headrest, release the handle and check it is locked. For the lower positions, the bottom of the headrest pad folds up under the middle section. The harness strap must sit at or slightly below the shoulders rear-facing, never above. The seat pad comes off without removing the harness. Machine wash it separately in cold water on a gentle cycle, with no bleach, then tumble dry separately for 10 to 12 minutes on low heat and remove it right away. Harness straps are spot cleaned with warm sudsy water. The cup holders twist out and are top-rack dishwasher safe.
Is the Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim All-In-One Convertible Car Seat recalled?

Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim All-In-One Convertible Car Seat: common questions
What are the Disney Baby Easy Elite Slim weight and height limits?
The manual lists rear-facing 5 to 40 lb and 19 to 40 in., forward-facing harness 30 to 65 lb and 34.4 to 49 in., and booster 40 to 100 lb and 43.4 to 52 in. Each mode ends when the child outgrows any one limit or the child fit requirements.
Does the Easy Elite Slim convert to a backless booster?
No. The product page lists three modes: rear-facing, forward-facing and a belt-positioning booster seat for 40 to 100 lb and 43.4 to 52 in. There is no backless mode.
Yes, with the internal harness. The manual says to install it in a window seat, on forward-facing aircraft seats only, and that it is not certified for aircraft use as a booster.
The manual says not to use it more than 10 years after the date of manufacture, which is on a label on the side of the seat. It also says to replace the seat after a moderate to severe crash.
Safety 1st's page says the design fits 3 across the back seat of most vehicles, and also that actual fit may vary. It does not publish a width, so I would measure the back seat and check the other seats before buying.
The EverSlim page lists the same rear-facing (5 to 40 lb, 19 to 40 in.) and forward-facing (30 to 65 lb, 34.4 to 49 in.) limits, plus a backless booster mode, a 5-position recline base and a 10-position headrest. The Easy Elite Slim page lists an 8-position headrest.

Before you buy
Weigh and measure your child. The limits above are the manufacturer’s, and a child has to meet all of them for the mode they will use.
Confirm the exact version. Colors, retail exclusives and model numbers change limits more often than you would expect; Safety 1st lists 2 colors of this seat.
Read the manual before you buy, not after. It is linked above and holds the fit rules, the install methods and the expiry.
Check recalls by model number and date of manufacture, and register the seat with Safety 1st so you hear about the next one.
