My take on the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat featuring Anti-Rebound Bar
It suits a family that wants the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 limits plus an anti-rebound bar for the rear-facing years and a cover that comes off without uninstalling the seat. The trade-off is depth: Graco lists it at 26.75 in deep and 21.9 lb. The standard Extend2Fit 3-in-1 has the same mode limits, no bar, and is listed at 20.75 in deep and 20.61 lb.

Who the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat featuring Anti-Rebound Bar fits
This seat covers 3 stages, and a child has to meet every limit of the stage they are in. Graco gives it a 10-year life from the date of manufacture, so check the date label before using a hand-me-down.
Rear-facing harness4 to 50 lb
The child faces the back of the car, which keeps the head, neck and spine supported in a frontal crash. Keep this mode as long as the child fits it.
Forward-facing harness26.5 to 65 lb · Up to 49 in
The child faces forward in the seat’s own harness. Use the top tether every time, and stay in the harness until the child outgrows it.
High-back booster40 to 100 lb · 43 to 57 in · from 4 years
The seat’s own back and belt guide route the vehicle belt across the shoulder, and the sides give the child something to lean on when they sleep.

How the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat featuring Anti-Rebound Bar installs
Lower anchors
InRight LATCH. Check your vehicle manual for which seating positions have anchors, and switch to the seat belt once the child passes the anchor weight limit in the manual.
Recline
6 recline positions. The recline angle is what keeps a young baby’s airway open, so set it before tightening the install.
Every install is a fit between one seat and one vehicle. Read both manuals, and use a free inspection station if anything is unclear.
Will it fit your car?
At 19 in at its widest, measure your back seat before counting on three across. It weighs 21.9 lb, which matters if you will move it between cars or carry it through an airport.
Check your vehicle manual for lower anchor positions and any head-restraint rules.
Rear-facing seats need front-seat room: try the install behind the driver before you commit.
Certified for aircraft use, so it can travel as a seat rather than checked baggage.

What to know before you live with it
Using the anti-rebound bar
The manual calls the bar optional and allows it only in rear-facing mode. Insert its ends into the holes on the front of the seat until it clicks, with the bar rising upwards, never dipping downwards. Do not use it in forward-facing or booster mode; remove it by pressing the buttons on both sides of the seat at the same time. Do not carry the car seat by the bar. Clean it with mild soap and water only, without bleach or other chemicals, and avoid spilling drinks on it.
Rear-facing, place the seat in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th recline position and route the lower anchor attachment or vehicle belt through the rear-facing belt path. Do not use the lower anchors rear-facing for a child over 40 lb. Children under 26.5 lb must ride rear-facing. Forward-facing, take the bar off, use recline position 6 for a child over 40 lb, and do not use the lower anchors for a child over 45 lb. The tether is used in addition to the lower anchors or the vehicle belt when forward-facing.
Booster mode is for children 40 to 100 lb, 43 to 57 in tall and at least 4 years old, with the bar removed and the seat in recline position 6. The child is held by the vehicle lap and shoulder belt. The manual says the seat is certified for aircraft use with the harness system, on forward-facing aircraft seats, and is not certified as a booster on aircraft because aircraft do not have shoulder belts. Contact the airline about its own policy. Stop using the seat 10 years after the date of manufacture.
Graco says the Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and that it is machine washable. Wash the seat pad in cold water with gentle soap on a delicate cycle and drip-dry, without bleach. Clean the buckle in a cup of warm water, pressing the red button several times, without soap and without submerging the buckle strap. The harness is surface wash only, and the harness and LATCH straps must not be immersed. Metal and plastic parts may be cleaned with mild soap and cool water.
Is the Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat featuring Anti-Rebound Bar recalled?
16C002000: does not cover this model. Campaign 16C-002 covers only Extend2Fit Convertible model number 1954477 built November 27, 2015 to January 20, 2016, for a misplaced recline label. The Extend2Fit 3-in-1 with Anti-Rebound Bar is a different seat (model number 2223809), not that convertible model number. Campaign source (read ).
Each campaign naming this family was read against this model’s numbers and build dates, and none covers it. Still check your seat’s model number and date of manufacture before use, especially on a used seat.

What are the weight and height limits?
Rear-facing harness is 4 to 50 lb with the head at least 1 in below the handle, forward-facing harness is 26.5 to 65 lb and up to 49 in, and high-back booster is 40 to 100 lb, 43 to 57 in and at least 4 years old.
